Schwarzenegger to Terminate California

Politically expedient, big spending (R)epulican (really?) governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is going to show the nation what higher taxes will do to an economy in distress:

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger called today for a temporary 1.5-cent increase in the state sales tax to help close an $11.2 billion deficit in the state budget, as well as new taxes on liquor and oil production. [Read]

For those who need clarification: during these difficult economic times he is proposing a sales tax increase of more than 20%!

(Temporary? When was the last time you heard of a temporary tax expire?)

Arnold Schwarzenegger is doing his best to lower California's standard of living to that of Michigan's. (Is this why Obama wants him in his administration?)
