Government Tightens Grip
Since so few Americans believe in personal liberty and freedom, the government has taken steps to further its control:
The Senate on Thursday passed long-in-the-works legislation that will give the Food And Drug Administration power to regulate the sale, manufacture and marketing of tobacco products. [Read]
Since freedom takes a strong sense of individual responsibility and tolerance of others, it will not be tolerated under the premise it is for our own good that the government acts. (What good is "health" if you are not free?)
Anyone who believes in the idea of America needs to understand that the fundamental principal it is built upon is freedom. Without freedom we are nothing. We must all fight for freedom, even if that means taking responsibility for your own life and allowing others to be responsible for theirs.
