Speak Freedom

Another convention. Lots of talking.

We will hear about lowering taxes. Great, but will we hear about reducing the size of government and reducing the burden placed upon future generations, because we want a little extra now? Doubtful.

A brilliant man once talked about our right to vote, and the terms were not glowing. He said simply that a man is not free because he is allowed to choose his master. Kerry? Bush? Which master will you choose, and is either offering more freedom, or greater burden?

Lysander Spooner fought the system, defiled and exposed the system, but we are still choosing between masters.

The real choice is freedom, if only one of these masters would only offer us less. If only we could choose no master. If only…
