We have our foot on the accelerator and are going to crash into the wall, but the acceleration is necessary because to apply the brakes would mean we would have to slow down, and we are in a hurry.

The bankruptcy of my children is necessary, because of their inability to pay off my debt. I would have paid off my debt, but then I would not have been able to live the life to which I am accustomed, and I feel there are things I want and deserve. At least they will not have to deal with the legacy of me going bankrupt.
