Whoever knows he is deep, strives for clarity; whoever would like to appear deep to the crowd, strives for obscurity. For the crowd considers anything deep if only it cannot see to the bottom: the crowd is so timid and afraid of going into the water.

- Friedrich Nietzsche

One of the factors that has made America great was economic opportunity. Economic opportunity is derived from freedom, which in turn makes society and its citizens as a whole prosperous. This opportunity should be cherished and guarded at all, but you must understand that you cannot have great opportunity presented by freedom when you strive to achieve equality in outcome.

You cannot have success without failure, and failure requires the freedom to take risks.
