Subject opinion to coercion: whom will you make your inquisitors? Fallible men, governed by bad passions, by private as well as public reasons. And why subject it to coercion? To produce uniformity? But is uniformity of opinion desirable? No more than of face and stature.

Angry at Washington? Your Bad

John Kerry is, without a doubt, a perfect representation of the political class running this country to ruin. And he will tell you, in kinder words, that it is because you are an idiot:

“We have an electorate that doesn’t always pay that much attention to what’s going on so people are influenced by a simple slogan rather than the facts or the truth or what’s happening." [Read]

Do not tell him, but the reason the electorate is pissed is because with such a top heavy dysfunctional system, people have more time than ever to pay attention to what our 'rulers' are doing. People are angry because they are paying attention.
