Tax Cuts? Spending Cuts!

Tax cuts seem to be the talk of the day, but it is a diversion for the real work that needs to be done. Taxes are an easy target, but the focus needs to be on the reduction of spending, something legislatures find very, very hard to discuss and agree upon.

Even headlines like the above do little more than add fuel to the fire. We are already spending far more than we are taking in, so whether we cut or not is not the relevant issue. The honest discussion is how are we going to cut back spending.
