Subject opinion to coercion: whom will you make your inquisitors? Fallible men, governed by bad passions, by private as well as public reasons. And why subject it to coercion? To produce uniformity? But is uniformity of opinion desirable? No more than of face and stature.

- Thomas Jefferson

Too Clear

In Russia, the Clear Politics are too clear. Remember the Yukos scandal? Well, Mikhail Khodorkovsky has been sentenced to nine years, which is not coincidentally when Putin leaves office.

Russian President Vladimir Putin wins, and a political foe is locked away. Whatever your complaints are about the US, it does appear we are a step above Russia, you must agree.
