"...for the great problems, granting that they let themselves be grasped at all, do not let themselves be held by toads and weaklings..."

- Friedrich Nietzsche

Think About the Cost

The areas around New Orleans that are not under water today have survived major hurricanes previous to surviving this one, and many are areas that would survive without the levees. Should areas requiring levees to remain unflooded be rebuilt? Look at the social, economic, human and environmental cost of this natural disaster, and realize: no matter how good a job we do, it will happen again.

To rebuild is a monument to whom, to what… stupidity? We cannot beat Mother Nature, the best we can do is survive. To survive, we need to be wise in our choices.
