Poor Helped by Wal-Mart, Democrats Furious

Democrats hate Wal-Mart, and for good reason: the company continues to drive down the cost of living, strecthing the dollar.

Wal-Mart announced today that it will start a test program in Florida, where it will sell generic prescription drugs for $4 for a 30-day supply. The test will start tomorrow in 65 Tampa Bay-area stores and is to expand to the whole state by January.

In a statement, CEO Lee Scott says the world's largest retailer intends to "take the program to as many states as possible next year."

On average, generic drugs tend to cost between $10 and $30 for a month-long supply.

The world's biggest retailer said that it will test the program in Florida that will make 291 generic drugs available, which are used to treat a variety of condition from allergies to high-blood pressure. It will also be available to the uninsured.

One of the reasons Wal-mart is able to do this is because of their ability to keep overhead low, which includes not overpaying unskilled workers. This has the potential to not only save consumers money, but drive down the government and insurance programs. This is a win, win, win-win. The Democrats are going to hate this.

Republicans have to love Democrats: they go after success again and again, coddling failure. They only thing Republicans need to do to look good is nothing and the Democrats will make themselves the fool every time. Where is the competition the Republicans need to make themselves better?

the competition is themselves, they should be always trying to better the last thing they did. If we had any smarts about us right now we would be beginning a huge national effort to get ethanol alcohol used as a motor fuel and get away from gasoline. We have to get this opec monkey off our backs now. Also we need to get the illegal aliens out of this country now and then secure our borders. If uneducated non english speaking peoples can illegally enter this country and stay here for years, how hard can it be for university educated terrorists to enter and help to destroy our people and country. It is about time that the politicians start looking out for the best interests of our country and people for a change. We have not done anything but lower our standards in order to appease the rest of the world, and it is time to stop and start putting AMERICA first for a change.

Democrats are continuosly bashing Wal-Mart. But if it is such a bad place to work, why aren't 1000s of former and present employees filling the air ways with complaints?
