Are we really among the most crooked citizenry in the world, or the most punitive:

The United States incarcerates more people than any other country in the world and for the first time in the nation's history, more than one in every 100 American adults is confined in a prison or jail, according to a report released on Thursday. [Read]

Remember, most white collar criminals are not in prison, though their impact on victims and society can be far more devastating than many of the drug related offenses that fill our prisons. This may be one of those examples where we display our caste society in a sad and true light.
