The is a real issue about government authority and boundaries; where do the candidates stand on these issues? Should the government be able to seize your children and make you fight for their return? Will those who believe in government as the center of the universe seize children who are taught laissez faire capitalism or anarchism? Should socialists and communists have their children taken because of the threat their belief system poses to our freedom?

Alas, how about if none of us talk about it because it is a real issue and we do not want to address something so real. That seems to be the tacit agreement.
