No Need to Debate

Barack Obama really prefers the well rehearsed, scripted speech. Authentic debates are for the quick of mind and true of principal. That is not really Barack:

Democratic candidate Barack Obama on Saturday backed further away from rival John McCain's challenge for a series of Lincoln-Douglas debates, agreeing only to the standard three face-offs in the fall proposed by the Commission on Presidential Debates. [Read]

What is the Commission on Presidential Debates?

The Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD) was established in 1987 by the Democratic and Republican parties to establish the way that debates between candidates for President of the United States are run. The Commission is a private entity, funded entirely by corporate contributions.

In 1988, the League of Women Voters withdrew its sponsorship of the presidential debates after the George H.W. Bush and Michael Dukakis campaigns secretly agreed to a "memorandum of understanding" that would decide which candidates could participate in the debates, which individuals would be panelists (and therefore able to ask questions), and the height of the podiums. The League rejected the demands and released a statement saying that they were withdrawing support for the debates because "the demands of the two campaign organizations would perpetrate a
fraud on the American voter". [Wiki]

"Why have a debate when you can have a press conference?" appears to be Obama's philosophy. Can he really hide all the way to the presidency?

Obama cannot do the town hall meetings because they are um, uh uh unscripted and someone may ask him a question that he uh um um doesn't have a pat answer for and more "fans" will catch on that the "Messiah" is just an inexperienced, clueless, empty suit.
Oh, BTW, make sure you get a tune up and keep your tires inflated, according to Obama, that will counter the high gas prices since he has no other alternative to lowering them. I would really like to know who is falling for this since I don't know one person who is voting for this guy, other than the media and his 'do-nothing-dems' in Congress.

Obama, the flip-flopper is the one that changes his mind everyday. No one really knows where he stands on the issues. Whatever, he believes in one day, will change the next. I will be watching ALL the debates. Obama, the inexperienced, cannot compete against McCain. How can you compare 143 days in the Senate to 30 years of service. And please, do you really believe that being computer literate qualifies one to be president? I wonder how all the past presidents made it without the internet? Who cares what Cindy McCain spends on credit card bills? She travels a lot doing charity work in foreign countries. Do you really believe that Obama lives like the middle class America in his multi-million dollar home.?Does Michelle shop at Wal-mart? Also, Reagan, one of the greatest presidents in history was in his 70's during his presidency. I guess Obama has Alzheimer's because he thinks there are 57 states and the president serves 8-10 years. Candiates make slip ups during campaigns, to err is human, unless you're the "Messiah".
